CHAPQUIST ENTERTAINMENT

Production Team

MICHAEL CHAPMAN (Producer/Director) began performing
professionally at the age of seven as a child prodigy from a musical family. His innate musical abilities and genuine enthusiasm for entertaining has continued throughout his accomplished career.

One of his earliest critically acclaimed shows, THE CURTAIN CALLS, headlined Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The success of that show led to a featured appearance on the iconic TV show Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In. This was followed by guest-starring appearances on a number of other television shows and series. THE CURTAIN CALLS were also honored to have performed a nominated “Best Song” at the Golden Globe Awards.

Michael achieved Broadway theatre acclaim as the original Producer/Director of the Tony-Award winning hit show FORBIDDEN BROADWAY - New York's longest running musical-comedy satire. Along with his enormously popular HIDDEN BROADWAY SHOWSTOPPERS! these shows received numerous theatrical awards.

Utilizing his extensive experience as a Producer/Director, together with being an accomplished pianist and musical arranger, Michael has created shows ranging from a nostalgic, musical-comedy re-enactment of a live radio presentation, which appeared at Carnegie Hall, to large-scale musical events at New York’s Lincoln Center. His many hit shows headline at theatres and showrooms throughout the USA and worldwide and also appear on luxury cruise lines internationally.

Whenever his time allows, Michael enjoys teaching and coaching privately. Holding a staff position at UCLA conducting musical theatre classes in auditioning and performing has been one of his most gratifying rewards.

Michael Chapman continues to be a musical innovator and a dynamic influence in the entertainment industry.

PAUL HOLMQUIST (Choreographer) began his professional career singing and dancing in Disneyland's KIDS OF THE KINGDOM. This led to a long run at Tokyo Disneyland as well as at another of Japan's multi-million dollar theme parks, Sanrio Puroland. During his six year stint in Tokyo, he appeared in numerous television commercials and print ads in addition to many roles in television dramas and made-for-TV movies.

Paul also enjoys working as a choreographer. Teaming up with award-winning director Michael Chapman, one of his favorite projects was choreographing the event, EVERYTHING'S COMING UP BROADWAY at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. This huge production show was sponsored by The Footlighters and proved to be the most successful event ever held by this prestigious charitable organization.

In addition to his acting, singing and choreographic skills, Paul is also a classically trained pianist. However his first love is musical theatre and he has appeared in scores of memorable musicals including ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, THE MUSIC MAN, WEST SIDE STORY, BABES IN ARMS, HELLO DOLLY!, THE PAJAMA GAME, and the west coast premiere of ME AND MY GIRL.

In addtion to having choregraphed all of Chapquist Entertainment's shows, Paul can also be seen starring in one of these shows...

OH WHAT A NIGHT! A Musical Tribute To Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons.
